A Bachelor/Diplomate Degree of applied science is a degree designed for careers that require more specific education. It is designed for those who already have some undergraduate training, such as an associate degree. Diplomate of applied sciences degrees requires hands-on projects that demonstrate competence in the field the student wishes to enter. These projects allow students to demonstrate their knowledge, passion and training in the subject of their choosing.
Bryant University (BU) offers a number of Sequential and Combined Associate/Bachelor/Diplomate degree programs which allow students to use all of their credits taken as an undergraduate toward both the undergraduate degrees, thus reducing the normal time required to complete both Associate’s and Bachelor/Diplomate’s degrees. Sequential degrees require students to complete the Associate’s degree before the Bachelor. The degrees are awarded sequentially, whereas combined degree programs require both degrees to be awarded simultaneously and only after both sets of requirements have been completed. Students can apply for admission to these Associate/Bachelor/Diplomate degree programs after enrolling as an undergraduate at the University.
